The Elina app is designed to support individuals in tracking and managing long-term pain in collaboration with a team of doctors, health professionals and close friends.
- Driving self-care is increasingly important for the NHS; which is impacted by a chronic shortage of people and money
- There is a strong incentive for Physicians and Physiotherapists to empower their patients to become more proficient at managing pain
- Patients seek advice from their Doctors, Physiotherapists and Carers without the benefit of being able to share their health information with a consistent support network
- There is no online product that facilitates this
Pain varies from person to person. User testing, usability studies and qualitative testing were required to understand and validate the app's broad range of use cases.
- Understand the pain points and barriers users have when sharing personal health information
- Involve users at discovery through to design in order to prove the concept and design for a purpose
- Develop a wide range of personas with different health requirements and use cases
- Collaborate with focus groups to produce empathy maps that reflect the thoughts and feelings of users
Unlike a health or pain diary, the Elina app turns the recording and management of pain into a positive activity. The Elina app gives the user the facility to invite their own team to share their health information with, based on privacy and permissions set by themselves.
- Working with our technology partners and focus groups we were able to map the opportunities to a matrix visualising impact vs investment
- A product roadmap based on a pragmatic view of the impact matrix for the Elina app
- Investment decks and documentation to support the signing of partners to the platform
- A front-end prototype showcasing features validated by users
